How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

First, identify the broken part of the motor to repair it. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you see something wrong, then you know what part of the motor you have to fix.

If the motor is in good condition, you shouldn't worry. But if it looks like one of the images below, you will need to replace parts before you can fly again.

Imagine that the motor has become bent to the point it will not turn. To get the motor to turn again, you'll need to bend it. For this purpose, you could use a vice grip to hold the motor and bend it back into shape. After this is done, you should inspect the motor carefully for any signs or wear.

Once everything looks good, you can put the propeller back on the motor shaft. Then, reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready to fly!
